Description
- Lynda Fuller Clendenning, Head of Acquisitions Department, Indiana University Libraries
Many libraries have experimented with various approaches to acquiring ebooks: purchase of publisher collections and individual titles, subscriptions, patron-driven plans (PDA), evidenced-based programs, and access to purchase programs. How successful have these programs been for libraries and users? How do libraries promote discovery of ebooks? What do patrons like about ebooks? What don’t they like? I will ask the audience to share their views on the current status of ebooks in their libraries.
