Summary

Father Thomas P. Kennealy, SJ, is a member of the Society of Jesus. He has served at Xavier University since 1969 in various roles: professor, administrator, and as university archivist. Kennealy has received various awards, most notably the Paul O’Connor Leadership Award in 2006.

In this interview Kennealy discusses his early family life. He describes his entrance into the Society of Jesus, his training as a Jesuit, his vocation as priest, and his priestly activity at Xavier University. His discusses his work as a French professor and as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. His greatest Xavier challenges and accomplishments are described. He also talks about various individuals related to the university. In conclusion Kennealy considers what challenges and opportunities are faced by Xavier University, both now and in the future.
