Summary

In this interview John Hart discusses his career in the Xavier University Physics Department. Mr. Hart taught at Xavier University from 1950 to 2000 and was the Chair of the Physics Department for some of that time. Raymond Miller, PhD, Professor Emeritus, Xavier University Physics Department (1965-2002), is also heard in the background of this interview as is Mr. Hart’s wife Verna Gibson-Hart. Included in this interview are Mr. Hart’s remembrances of his World War II experiences in the South Pacific as a Naval Officer, the 1962 Institute on Quantum Mechanics held on the Xavier University campus and his colorful recollections of fellow Xavier faculty members.
