Media: Woodcut and Fibers
Artist's Description: The woodcut was carved and then printed as a stamp onto linen. I then embellished the printed image with fabric and stitching that emulated layers and pebbles in the earth. I wanted to convert the woodcut into a fibers piece to make the layers more visually interesting. The piece is about layers of myself and fibers was sadly left out even though it’s a big part of me, so after the woodcut was carved I wanted to bring my fibers practice back to the piece.
