Funeral prayer card for Albert Dierckes, 1859-1914. The front of the card contains a photograph of Father Dierckes, biographical information, and a quote from the Bible The back of the card contains a prayer for the repose of his soul and a quote from the Bible. This card was made by an unknown publisher. Dierckes was president of Xavier University, (Cincinnati, Ohio) from 1901-1908.

(front) Father Albert A. Dierckes, S.J. Born March 1, 1859 Entered the Society of Jesus, July 23, 1878. Ordained July 30, 1892. Died October 8, 1914. Semper Paratus. "Paratus sum et non sum turbatus." "I am ready, and am not troubled." - Ps. cxviii. 60. (back) Let us Pray. O God, who amongst Thy Apostolic priests hast raised up Thy servant Albert, to the dignity of a priest, grant, we beseech Thee, that he may also be admitted in heaven to their everlasting fellowship, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. Jesus, Mary, Joseph, assistance in my last agony. - 300 days indulgence. "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." - Matth. xxv. 23
