Abstract
This research project examines the races and zip codes of SUD (Substance Use Disorder) clients receiving Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) at Talbert House. Client data regarding these demographics was previously compiled into an Excel spreadsheet. The relationships between racial demographics and zip codes of residence found interesting patterns of possible racial disparities that might be due to zip codes. This research was of course limited because the population is such a niche and specific set of people that unlikely represent all of those receiving these kinds of treatments elsewhere. The purpose of this study was to attempt to identify access to MAT by zip code and racial identities of clients for Talbert House. A non-probability sample method was used and there were a total of 83 participants.
