Description

Jean Griffin served as the Dean of Students at Xavier University and was formerly part of Xavier's COVID-19 Task Force. She has a BA in Political Science from Canisius College and an MS in Higher Education administration from Indiana University. She worked at Xavier University from October 2012-2023, serving as Director of Student Integrity until June 2015 and acting as Dean of Students.

In this interview, Griffin discusses the impact of the pandemic on student life as well as Xavier’s approach to bringing students back to campus. She talks about the role of the COVID-19 Task Force in monitoring student health and the support systems that emerged to benefit students during the pandemic.
