Description

Mason Rick was born in Evansville, Indiana. He attended Xavier University as an undergraduate and studied international affairs with a concentration in business. Rick was also a part of Xavier’s ROTC program and upon graduation, served in the army as an officer. Rick started working at Xavier in 2013 and moved from assistant bursar to interim bursar in February 2020. He now works as a Payment Sales Account Manager for Transact Campus.

This interview discusses the challenges that the Bursar’s Office faced due to COVID-19, as well as how they handled Emergency Relief Funds from the government. During the interview, Rick also shares his thoughts on how Xavier’s response to the pandemic affected students and faculty.
