Rachel Chrastil, Ph.D., served as the academic leader on the COVID-19 Task Force from 2020-2021. She has served as Xavier University’s provost and chief academic officer since January 2022.

In this interview, Dr. Chrastil discusses her background education in history, her personal experience while at Xavier at the start of the pandemic, the decision-making process of the Xavier University COVID-19 Task Force, and how COVID impacted her transition into her role as provost.
