Abstract
Prior to a D2 football practice, athletic trainers and students are to tape the athletes and distribute water to designated spots. Athletes tend to wait to get taped just before they are required to be on the field, hindering the distribution of waters. This makes order of operations a challenging component to making water distribution happen in a timely manner. Upon starting this project, there was no organization of how to set up the waters on the field for practice. The goal of this study was to create an organizational chart and diagram to help decrease the amount of time it took to distribute water to the field for practices in under 17 minutes in a total time of 6 weeks. The study consisted of two parts, timing before the proposed organizational charts were implemented and after. Overall, the aim of the study started showing a trending effect of a decrease in time, but a longer-term study would need to be conducted to determine the organizational method’s effectiveness.
